Deleted Gentleman Prefer Blondes

My new favorite blog Paris Atelier, posted this glorious photo from a deleted musical scene in Gentleman Prefer Blondes. I also found the photo below while trying to find more information on the scene; the song is called "Four French Dances". Thank you Judith!

What a gorgeous set and costumes, I love how the strings almost touch the ground and those hats are great. I love these photos. ♥

Hee hee-- this is actually VERY interesting for me! I love Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and have always wondered about those costumes: Lorelei and Dorothy wear them just before Mr. Esmond comes backstage. I've always thought how funny looking they were-- and NOW i FINALLY know that the costumes are from an entire musical number! Wish they'd kept it! Can't get enough of Monroe and Russell turning up the heat!
