I love Carol Burnett. The Nora Desmond skit was always one of my favorites and it made me watch Sunset Blvd, so i love it twice.

I LOVE the Carol Burnett Show!!! I cannot find the original Mildred Pierce sketch that I was looking for~ the one from the show with Vicki Lawrence as Veda. If anyone finds it, please post it!

The 30's and 40's costumes and wigs from her show are so fantastic.

Carol Burnett was one of my favorites too. Her skits really stand the test of time.

It's interesting you posted the Norma Desmond videos today, because I was just reading about Norma Talmadge upon whom the character was based. And the Lina Lamont character in "Singin in the Rain" was also loosely based on Talmadge, and her inability to transition to the 'Talkies.'

"I saw it the window and I just couldn't resist." That line cracks me up every time!

I've never seen these! How hilarious. The best are the costumes. I wish I had the shoes and dress from the first clip.
