Fire & Ice
Richard Avedon photographed model and muse Dorian Leigh for Revlon's 1952 Fire & Ice campaign. Fast forward to 2010 where Mario Testino photographs actress Jessica Biel for the re-launch of the iconic collection.
they're both gorgeaous photos in their own right but i prefer the older version. Bu that's mostly because it baffles me as to how/why Jessica Biel is landing work like this when I can't think of more than 3 movies shes had bit parts in. Apologies for the rant! :) x

Dorian all the way! I find very few of today's female celebs and models to be as attractive as those of the vintage era.
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing up these two images. Digital re-touching makes a big difference in the newer photograpph - but the ad slogan can't be improved.
