Fall TV
NBC's upcoming Playboy Club (Sept. 19th) and ABC's Pan Am (Sept. 25th) look pretty good! They join HBO's Boardwalk Empire and AMC's Mad Men in a growing trend of vintage and period television. More please!
Both series are must see TV, Katie. I hope they can live up the the hype and expectations. I love the pizzazz of that Pan-Am trailer in particular. I hope they keep the Sinatra soundtrack.
Ooh, I can't wait for both those tv shows. I loved Mad Men and Boardwalk empire. The make up and styling was impeccable, the stories very interesting, it was just like good old Hollywood movies. :))
I'd like to see some '20s and '30s-themed series, but given the public's collective amnesia about anything that occurred before World War II ended (aka the "We Didn't Start The Fire" syndrome), I'm not holding my breath.
@Shady~ I hope you are right about the soundtrack. Not sure how much the network will/would have to pay for the rights.
@VP~always nice to have you around! Yes, They are smart to jump on the Mad Men bandwagon- hopefully the shows will have some substance, but not sure how primetime network will stack up against no holds barred cable...

More please indeed! I haven't heard of this, but I'll have to check it out. Impatiently waiting for the new season of Boardwalk Empire.
