It's wonderful isn't it?!
Will this be a once off or will there be a new silent movie craze?

@Glamour Daze I hope more filmakers take chances and re-visit themes of the past!

@Veronique I'm so happy for the French filmaking community! This is a huge honor. JDj deserved this win and his speech was adorable. Always love when an upset like this happens. Plus he is so sexy :)

Hey Katie I'm going to claim "firsties" because it was me who e-mailed you asking about how Berenice Bejo does her hair in this movie - and you hadn't heard of the movie yet at that time! Have to admit, I had heard of the movie pretty early on, because word got out in the Jack Russell Terrier community about Uggie so all us dog people heard about it first...anyway I don't think The Artist will spawn a tide of new silents but what I do predict (with hope) is that there WILL be more movies starring dogs!

Also forgot to ask - how did you like the wonderful Art Deco set which showcased the final dance sequence? In my next life, I think I want to be a production designer, the sets in this movie were SO fabulous....
