Tamela D'Amico informed me of some recently published, but never seen before photos of Marilyn Monroe taken when she was just 24 years old and starting out in Hollywood.
Life.com discovered these lost and rare images taken of Marilyn in Los Angeles' beautiful Griffith Park~ the same park where a young Jean Harlow once posed nude at the beginning of her career.
Life photographer Ed Clark shot this series in 1950 and were supposedly taken for a Life cover that was never used. At the time of the shoot, Marilyn had just starred in The Asphalt Jungle.
There are 15 lovely pictures here! Also, on the 15th photo, click the link below the image for even more Marilyn!

I loved these! Yes about two weeks ago it was all over the internet. She looks so fragile and innocent, at the sametime you can see the drive behind her eyes.
I love these so much I had mentioned these on a post I did on marilyns birthday but I never noticed all the other photos on the 18th photo thanks for letting me know!
Apparently I am the only person who did not see these when they came out! ha
I haven't seen those either, thanks for the link to those beautiful pictures :). Marilyn was such an amazing beauty!
I love these photos. I think she looks the best she ever had; just lovely.
I Love these photos! They are amazing! She is the ultimate bombshell!
Great shots! I hadn't seen them either. So young and innocent. Or maybe just naive here. Sad to think about what was in store for her. Thanks for sharing!

These are simply fabulous! She looks so fresh and, yes like all the other comments said, innocent. Compltetly unaware of everything that lay ahead of her. I adore Marilyn and love these early pictures because her spirit and vitality really come across.
Thank you SO much for posting this!!
I saw these as soon as Life posted them online. They are all such amazingly beautiful photos. How fabulous they were rediscovered and shared with the world.
